the colors I usually use to give a sense of temperature I think they are too exaggerated and even ruin the image. now I will start to refine my rendering.

More process! I was able to sit today and continue.
1. Just refined the BW base and
2. Added the group of flat colors in an overlay mode.
3. I merged the layers with masks I made for all colors (for later). Touched a bit the temperature of the colors too.

An easy one: I've got a literal living piece of the sun (Sunnii) & a fire type elemental snake powered by the sun.

Fun fact about the Sunnii: If it feels any negative emotion, it'll cause a seemingly fatal heatwave at a temperature of 125°F! Plus side: it's only for 15 min.
