Kitagawa Utamaro was one of the most influential masters of the Edo period, and one of the few Ukiyo-e artists to achieve fame in his lifetime. He was a major influence not only in Japan, but also to 19th c. Europe. And he made such wonderful horny art! I think about this a lot
