After a year of slowly debugging and fine tuning a "finished" product, I'm uploading #PrincessQuest to https://t.co/DWRD3LJwS0 and submitting to MFGG. I think that qualifies it as "officially released", right?

i start to see something now. It's frustrating that javascript apparently isn't fully predictable on the result of simple math. See those intersection points there? in some runs they are there, in some other they are not.

Anyway, after reading some more of the Lazy Shell source code and fixing my own tile disassembly code, my findings are illegibly written in my notepad above. Long story short, I get it now. I have to debug the statue offset, but at least the sprite loads.
I knew something and somewhere's wrong...
Debugging is something I tend to do when making artworks. Usually those drawing errors are so obvious that they hide in plain sight.
whelp!
