I started originally with a quadruped mech design for Wildvine, but felt that it didn't really fit with his aesthetic, so I leaned on the vine aspect as tendrils and muscle, with a touch of Evangelion. I liked the final result.
I drew an OC once and said "I wish there was a comparable race for D&D cause I like her" and my DM @Eversor0986 said "just reflavor a satyr" so we did and the world didn't end
