I was surprised, as a child, to learn that many of the fairies from Irish look nothing like the lovely sparkly creature on the left, and often resemble demon horses, such as the pooka, or puca, shown on the right. https://t.co/XFsSpPRvQV

Tír na nÓg, or ‘land of the young’, is an otherworldly realm from Irish mythology whose inhabitants are gifted with everlasting youth, beauty, health, and happiness. It was said to be the home of the ancient gods and fairies, but humans are forbidden.

😍My name is Elfine. 💝And yes, this is what a 21st century elf looks like! I love hot makeup, fancy clothes, taking selfies, and I hate being confused with fairies. Don't hide your sexuality!

A Mr Noy once strayed into fairy land and was saved by his former sweetheart, Grace, who had been abducted years earlier and who he thought had died. She explained the fairies left a 'stock' (figure), which was buried as her, while she was taken to work for them.

'Titania' is the Queen of Fairies from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream

So obviously I'm spending way too much time making dozens of variations for a 1/1 of a fairy queen for the Builders of Titania collection. That's how you build deep mythology - carefully
