Volume 1’s cover really showcases the juxtaposition of its two main characters perfectly. They stand, each in a very differnet reality, and reach for one another, but can never really touch. They have radically different positions, and so they shed light on each other’s flaws.

Throughout the run, Claremont repeatedly uses children to weave a sense of vulnerability into his otherwise fantastic world. The surreal juxtaposition of these vulnerable kids with superhero fantasy helps to ground the world and give weight to the violence within it. 1/4

Sil the elven merchant from one of our campaigns, she’s always so calm and collected, a good juxtaposition to our chaotic party! 🧝‍♀️

It’s interesting to me that people take the text in this image at face value, when my intention was a humorous juxtaposition by contradiction between image and text. I firmly believe that an artist doesn’t get to tell people how to interpret their work, however... 1/2

Giants and fairies and Captain Britain all show up to help beat the Martians and it's great.
Love the juxtaposition of "grown men weep at the sight of him" followed immediately by "You tosser!"

It’s I’m Kate, motion GFX designer by day and soft goth painter of juxtapositions by night. I love portraiture and surreal compositions, collaging forms, challenging concepts of femininity.

I am forever a pupil of my craft. Self critic. Self doubt, as all artists are. I absolutely love where Japanese art is right now. Everything just flows. Lines. Shadow. Light. Juxtaposition. I'm truly inspired. Thank you artists.

2020 goal: Make more fluid lines. Less hesitation.

Dashu and Flutterdragon

Havn’t posted some Flutterdragon in a bit. I really like the juxtaposition of their dynamic, big shy dragon with a comparatively smaller rough n'tough pegasus. Both are real cute regardless :)

This is the front of this piece and I will post the back next. After I finished this one I decided to not put backgrounds on the glassine paintings. I like the translucent feel of the paper. The juxtaposition of the opaque painting and the translucent glassine paper works for me.

Post of the day. I added the unaltered back of this piece. Glassine is sly hat transparent. I love the juxtaposition of the two. I think I will work in the backside of this piece just a bit and to accent some of the lines. Stay tuned.

How to make sense of the juxtaposition of a quintessential Chinese tombstone & a funerary couch turned into a Sasanian-style gilt vessel? My conclusion: An Jia saw himself as a mediator between Chinese & Sasanian cultures; he celebrated this dual identity with remarkable stones.
