Another charity commission, this time it's @/helyg_art (on IG)'s D&D tiefling druid, Therai. I like colored highlights but I found the blue skintone challenging to match with warm lights, so the simpler coloring was compensated by a kinda sorta background.

okay so obvs majorly referenced from his helmetless big form. I gave him mao xeno's skintone and less orange eyes, also made the appendages(?) purple. I think they should be able to move independently

also my fav method to get skintones as accurate as possible is just pixelating images to be able to colorpick a solid color ! which looks very silly but works if u dont wanna risk getting the skintones wrong

I almost forgot to post some quick Azhka refs I made-- the one showing her back is from forever ago (I want Miqo'te to be more fuzzy, dangit!) and the headshot is more recent. (I mixed her old hair with her new one) Her skintone on the headshot is more accurate as of redesigns.

@yuzesfi @imkatt_ zhongli and venti are chinese and japanese (original characters in pics) in the description of the tiktok they put “non blacks do not interact” which is probably referring to the fact they made the characters black. And theyre saying they look “better” with darker skintone

Gear took a normal commission slot, but @Pyrogod11 decided to take reign of my "Pizza Sale".

Dream skintone was a challenge for like 30 seconds until I figured things out and had a blast drawing her. Her black eyes are mesmerizing and her scarf is the best.

@TheIronleaf some classic examples in my chars would be sklav being given other eye colors than a complete black (her pupils are supposed to not be discernable from her irises), azeon is rarely drawn with his actual skintone and is often a lot paler and everyone always forgets that searlait

PLEASE do not whitewash my persona. i have been seeing some fanarts going around of my persona that uses the wrong skintone for my character and although i really appreciate any and all fanart, i please ask for you to take into consideration that i am not white. i am mexican.

I struggled with afros at first but, I found an awesome tutorial which helped me realize that it’s actually REALLY easy

(i flat color it first, use a different layer using multiply and i use the color gray to shade. then i change the shading color to whichever one matches the skintone better)

@greaserparty it started out as a rhythm game and got some anime tie-ins later but yeah.... i think the darkest skintone for a human version a character is rom? who is a leopard businessman by day and visual kei drummer by night
