You know there’s multiple kinds of art styles. An artists rate is also comprised of: cost of living, rent, materials/programs used, licensing original work, personal food/medical costs, time and education spent to get to their skill, etc. Artists work and deserve their set rate!

Art is a trade and requires education and dedication to get to higher skill levels. Artists spend time learning, practicing, honing skills, money on licensing images and fonts and on programs and materials. They deserve to be paid for their work. There’s art for every budget.

Artists and designers charge their rates according to their time, skill, cost of living, licensing fees, etc. There’s artwork/an artist out there for every budget. It’s ok if something isn’t in your price range, but what we won’t do is disparage/ belittle someone’s work/rate.

There are many price ranges for book cover art, and different designers/artists have different rates. Price varies depending on the quality of artwork, style of artwork, typography, design, licensing, etc. $1500-$3000+ isn’t unusual for highly detailed illustration.
