concept is interesting. 's "crowd-brawler" combines beat-em up mechanics with the unit management of a strategy game. Although it's visually appealling, playing it feels clunky and sluggish. For a game about socialism, a price of $15 really is too much!

Played a bunch of matches: Strive just felt sluggish. The hitstop, slow-mo during counterhits and wallbreaks make the game's pace really hard to appreciate. If it stays like that I'm not sure on buying it at release, at best I'll just play if someone brings the game at locals.

Have I tweeted about Head Over Heels? I honestly can't remember. But it's a gorgeous wee game. C64 isometric games tend to be a tad sluggish, but this one (just) manages to stay fast enough to keep it fun - especially if you're zipping around with Heels. 👍 Good 3d platforming.
