I think his staff along with belos's staff have a amplifying crystal that gives them really strong powers bc they dont have natural magic. If you notice belos's staff is more mechanical then the golden guards. I think that's because his was a "prototype" of gg's.
Technically, the "prototype" listed here for the Biggy Man edit came second, as I kept adding to the design over and over.
I felt it was getting too busy, so I went with a "less is more" mentality and reverted it to a previous design.

Both Agnimon and Vritramon are half of Ancient Greymon, and their types are "Demon man type" [魔人型] and "Demon dragon type" [魔竜型]. Oni are demons/ogres in japanese folklore.
And we can't forget about Greymon and Ogremon rivalry in Adventure 2020.
