here's a few more of the recent ones - and I may have used AI upscaling on some of them. can you guys tell which? genuinely curious to see if anyone gets this right

Decided to just go with full 1920x1080 for the resolution, to maintain that pixel-perfect look (upscaling from 1280x720 to there doesn't look as perfect as I want). So now I've got two scaling levels I can go with...but I'm not sure which one. Left or Right? (Ignore the UI)

I love how bad upscaling can get

AI generated (StyleGAN2 still) + Waifu2x denoising and upscaling. OwO

some progress on upscaling my title screen, i'm really not used to this resolution 😅

favorite thing about upscaling and then painting is you get to see the sketch jaggies next to the more finished parts lol

the only ones that appear to have been not touched at all aside from upscaling and color correction are DJ K.K. and Pondering

Kinda crazy what people are pulling off with upscaling driven by machine learning these days.

I want to point out that I drew this originally in low resolution, so thank you waifu2x and their convolutional neurak networks for upscaling it

I recently rewatched your videos about AI upscaling because I really want a high-resolution ST poster. Would you say this is the best result I can get? I used "Waifu2x" to upscale the image (you should check it out... yeah I know, the name sounds ridiculous)

Here's King's character illustration from XI upscaled using AI upscaling because we all need more King artwork in super duper ultra mega hyper extreme resolution!

also! an approximate timeline of the upscaling process. I had originally planned to stop somewhere around the middle. the second one kinda looks like an enamel pin design or something (HMMMMM)

AI Upscaling is incredible.

I rediscovered this really handy website for upscaling illustrations

I upscaled one of Kira Imai's illustrations to use as my phone wallpaper and it turned out really well!

Experimented and ended up making a new dp!
Hope people like it!

Originally was going to be a pixel but ended upscaling the sketch so it has a "soft" look! (Process on the right pic)

Experimenting with a pixel upscaling algorithm for . I think this of myself looks good at 4x the scale...

Time for even more artwork! No magical AI upscaling was needed for these as they were all released at super-duper high resolution to promote (well, except for Yoshi and Cass which I couldn't find high-res artwork of) https://t.co/1BhCrrS2cS

I don't think these ended up nearly as impressive as the upscaled SC6 gallery images, but here's the entire 1 gallery upscaled (I also included the original pictures in case other people want to use other methods for upscaling these) https://t.co/4yUIcdCGQ4

Another AI upscaling comparison! First picture is Mr Rock from SC4 using an image from gallery. Second picture is the AI's attempt to upscale it. Third picture is a proper high-res version (released as promotional asset). AI gets pretty close to the real thing!
