Also, side note, I don't think I've ever shown these. My hobby is just trolling through Undertale AU fanart and finding nuggets of pure gold like Idol!Sans and being like, "Okay. We're drawing this one, it's too Good to ignore." Like, somebody conceived that, and that's amazing.
The golem I THINK is a possible connection, and is a good culture thing to note, but I don't think Superman has connection to it beyond being a protector, and the Golem had little to do with inspiring Superman, but...I do think there were culture aspects at the time that did.
