I think when he says american comics there's more than this very particular monthly DC and Marvel. There's Image, Dark Horse, Boom, IDW, Fantagraphics, etc. Western publishers and even alternate seals inside the big 2 doesnt follow the reboot thing like Vertigo/Wildstorm or Icon
