This is the best duel in the series so far, and the studio uses some interesting techniques to convey it. Minor plays like charging and tapping mana are presented by overlaying animated panels on the main frame, making it resemble the DM manga more while being easier to animate.

It’s so funny when a new character is created that makes people feel more represented you’ll see responses like “who asked for this?”
Often those same people are the ones who say you should make new characters instead of blind casting.
It’s almost like they don’t want either 🤷♀️
