Well... I just realized, they could totally do actual gradients without breaking the rules of the style if they allowed more creative characters.
Draggadon is mostly flat colors with patterns, BUT the uhh... stringy thingy gradually becomes a darker tone toward the tip!

@8thsinn I found this first picture online while looking up geometric patterns, I liked the idea of it, but it wasn't quite what I wanted. So I took it into ProCreate and slapped a few more lines on it to jazz it up, and that was it! An absolute bitch to get the first few lined up right!
