Interestingly when P3FES was released in Japan, they released two versions of FES which had separate box arts. The one on the left is the "append" a disc you would use if you already had P3 and it requires that to boot. And the standalone which worked without doing that.

seems to be the case, I think its interesting to note the Hylemxylem in 2 is leaching off the Afterlife's terrestrial juices. We can infact see its roots in the Afterlife after the first fight against Gibby Redivivus. Though the Hylemxylem in 1 doesn't seem to be doing that.

Not really a secret. Link is mute but is learning how to use his magic to help him talk and sing. He uses it for singing because talking, he can just sign. The secret is that he was forced to not talk. Silent but the folks who did it didn't think of the cons of that. :3c
