I find that I prefer a more graphic look with lines but worry I rely on my linework too much to show form and I should be describing dimension by contrasting light and dark.

The only reason I'd do it is if I just wanted a specific character to have it, not simply because they're Black. I actually did it to one of my characters using traditional tools. It's....really didn't change anything. I'm keeping her palms dark. =\
