Various character design sketches, and we're done, lmfao. It's very satisfying to paw through old stuff and be able to bask in my rare spats of continuous drawing + inspiration. I can do better now, but I was very pleased with what I did *then,* and it still holds up.

I start out creating various monochromatic compositions which I then experiment with over and over until finding a composition I like. I look at wildlife photos of pelagic fish as well as paintings by the amazing artist Stanley Meltzoff for inspiration.
