I mean ALLEGEDLY ETH 2.0 brings sharding. Which basically means that different transactions run on different "lanes". Right now all of transactions run on the same lane, so degen farmers, nfts, all runs on the same so that is why GAS can spike so HIGH. Sharding separates this.
