Hi! My name's Alex and I'm an 18-year-old artist from Ireland who loves to draw OCs, cute girls and video games.

I was diagnosed with Asperger's when I was 4 and I wasn't made aware of it until I was 9. I use my autism to express myself and my ideas ^w^

23 Dec: St King Dagobert II of Austrasia (d 679?). Spent time in Ireland in early yrs (thought to be at Slane). St Florentius, Irish Bishop of Strasbourg cured his blind & deaf daughter! St Arbogast, another Irish bishop in Strasbourg raised his son to life! Lots of miracles!

20 years old this week. An important part of our community. As pieces of art these are good enough to stand up against anything on the planet.

Gerard Dillon (1916-71) was a painter from Belfast & member of the Progressive Painters Group during the Emergency (1944). His subject was Ireland & friendship reflected through the gay male perspective (Self-portrait, 2nd Pic). An important painter.

Ireland’s greatest post-Impressionist painter was Roderic O’Conor. He was influential on a number of artists including Gaugin & it’s only in the past couple of decades his importance to Western European art has begun to be recognised.

Irish patronage was restricted to the Anglo-Irish ascendancy who preferred to collect foreign painters. They did however like to have their parks painted. This encouraged George Barret (2728/32-84) to come to Ireland.

Spanish Armada wrecks in Ireland watercolours from 1988. La Trinidad Valencera and La Girona (well known wrecks). Third wreck was one of these secret location photos I was given with no wreck name. So don't actually know where in Ireland this one is.

This year I only left Ireland once, travelling to the astonishingly beautiful Vernazza in the Italian Cinque Terre. During those dull winter days I go back to studying some of those cute, picturesque streets.
