I notice that Higurashi is more popular with eastern people while Umineko is more popular with western people. I thought this was sort of interesting. I could see how Umineko has more western influences though.

I was raised with a lot of Disney, Dreamworks... and children's/ya books.
It is only when I decided to study animation that I discovered japanese animation (Ghibli?!) or comics!!!
