Back in 2009 I R E F U S E D to use photo ref because that was "cheating".

I also refused to draw noses because those were hard :c

Noses, my 10 year long nemesis, haha.

10 years ago I was in such a slump, trying to do clean lineart drawings before painting, because all the cool kids on dA did. I'm so glad I found some process stuff by Kekai Kotaki that made me realise otherwise.

I think if they would have just given them a cat nose it be less creepy. Even the Broadway original had painted cat noses. I think the nose really helps grasps that "oh its an anthro cat not a human experiment gone wrong" Idk just kinda throws me off
