Therocephalians are another group of therapsids that made it into the Triassic. They were probably distributed throughout Pangea during the Early Triassic. One genus (Moschorhinus) is believed to have survived the Permian extinction

MS. Bodl. 264 contains lots of horses, but if you didn't already know that then we haven't been doing our job properly. There are intimate moments as well as battle scenes; here is Bucephalus hiding under Alexander's cloak during a storm. https://t.co/RrzqlYZUmA

Notice something flapping off the eye of this nosy Greenland Shark (Somniosus microcephalus)?

That's an eye parasite! It causes partial or full blindness over time, but its bioluminescent properties are thought to attract prey. Sharks have many other better-tuned senses anyway!

Sketching this reconstruction of the European wukongopterid Cuspicephalus. It is inspired by the beautiful reconstruction of the same sp by because I love the idea of those huge quillworts and these pterosaurs foraging for prey amidst them

Brassica oleracea var. acephala

For a short time, during the earliest Triassic, some parts of the world belonged to the Here for I have reconstructed the large-sized Moschorhinus. It is defending its recent kill, a Lystrosaurus, from a group of Tetracynodon
