You know what I never did, even though I grew up inventing tons of fake I never tried my hands at one of the many Sugimori style tutorials out there.

I did it now. It's pretty fun. The one I used also uses textures in addition to everything else. Pretty interesting!

A quick sample of the pressure curve in Affinity Designer. It's quick and easy and flexible. You expand those lines to curves later but it takes a fraction of the time to create.
