Draknian gems are a complex thing. When damaged much care must be made to repair them. Over time, a method of kintsugi was developed to repair the gem. Here, Draka draws the heat from the air around to melt the gold before directly applying to the damaged gem.

Before applying the gradient, you should also consider whether light or dark will be the focal point. In many cases, if you want something bright to the the focal point, give the background a dark gradient, if the focal point is something dark, make it light.

I'm an editor, not a translator, so it's been an interesting experience applying my experience to translating a game for the first time. It's been lots of fun, too! I don't expect a perfect translation...but I will definitely be doing my best. The game is about 90% localized.

Keep in mind it's a b/w manga, a better example tbh is Kanou from Hoshino Open Your Eyes, she wears gal fashion throughout the series, and is shown applying falsies and other make. Like I said, not a great example, but it's what she's supposed to be.
