for context -
- Hard, thin lineart from the beginning
- soft shading/non-distinct brushstrokes
- no yellow/orange lighting
- no digital atelier
- no yellow light source
- adjustment with levels only
- no unsharp mask
- Had to draw Yew, who i never draw

this was hard

and for the strokes of light, that not exactly how hair works btw, try to give it a little bit of yknow, more natural shape. im using my art as an example even though it may not be very good, but you get the picture

One of my goals lately is to add 'dynamics' or 'motion' to my stuff, so here's a thing trying out using 'mixer brush smudges' as motion, with some weird tilted camera and very-visible brushstrokes! Love using airbrushes for 'out of focus' things lately

‘Queen Gazelle’ Took the opportunity to explore the organic shapes of my brushstrokes and how they form the bigger shapes in this composition. Oh, and colors and light 💡!😊 ©️Stark 2020

We are welcoming joolz aboard! While other artists approach anime with a meticulous cleanliness, they use a more painterly approach reminiscent of old school cover artists. With visible brushstrokes and drawing techniques, they breathe in a lively feel into their paintings

Original character work. Playing around with curves and did random strokes for the armor.

Although I tried making it look more of a webtoon style render, mixing cell shade and soft shades. Im somewhat satisfied with this, for now ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
