Food Art Series: Egg Tart ( Hong Kong Style)

I love how shiny and glossy this tart is and also the fact that this version is usually made with less dairy than the Portuguese style egg tarts. The high water content also makes that really nice sheen on top.

Drawing this time from my Chinese heritage. I love these fermented duck eggs and I use to not even bother cooking these and just popping it straight into my mouth ammonia and all. You either love or hate this.

Another Filipino classic dessert combination. Sweetened young coconut in syrup (macapuno) with fluffy ube (purple yam) cake sponge and a buttercream filling.

Finished the watercolor Bento lunch! I love to draw food but it also makes me hungry! This is far from perfect but it’s not bad for someone teaching themselves!?
