A bit later in the game, you encounter the best enemy in the game; Darknuts. They come in different ranks and fully flesh out the combat system of the game. No matter how many you fight it is always engaging and fun!

The facial textures of Mario's model in Mario Kart 8/Deluxe appear to depict him with a pointy nose. The nose area is actually shading that is mapped underneath his mustache and is as such essentially unseen in-game.
