I sat down and watched Class of the Titans with my brother today, as I own it on DVD and decided to draw the characters reimagined as though they are in a more modern cartoon style (ie. That of Voltron, Korra and several other shows.)

This how I work on detailed stuff:
1 - Block the whole shape.
2 - Add primary shading and lighting.
3 - Use the lasso tool and change the colors of different parts.
4 - Add as much details as your sanity allows.
