Work in progress, this is the second layer after the initial sketch. I spend maybe 5 minutes blocking in the colours with a large brush. I also use dark ink to block in the main features. The colours will change & become deeper still. This looks like a weak tea to me right now.

And since some people asked for it, here's some stuff about the background:
I started with just some basic color blocking and then went in and refined more detail
(I also started with a much darker color palette lol)

When I'm sketching, I always lay down a rough color blocking so I know if I should adjust the silhouette any. I'll make a gif of my process someday~

Halfway thru blocking in color, the file was corrupted. Had to start it over from scratch. And so I had a chance to improve the lighting and clothing design.
Some day I might save up enough $ for a new motherboard and back up hard drive ;n;

STEP 3: Blocking

This was the most tedious step. Rotating shapes is tough and all these arms have non trivial forms. If I rush this step the rigid parts will look wobbly when moving around which would break the illusion.

Worked on the last of the wolf hood pours. Have the last one to pour for sure. Then will be working more on the new design. Worked from 11pm to 1am on new one actually.
