Growing up, I was never "the art kid"; that was my sister, who got art supplies as birthday presents whereas I got... uh, encyclopedias?
But she had long since stopped drawing. I haven't.

A lil while ago my friend @soapsqq posted her neglected OC Cheritzu, and I really love her a lot, so I decided to just draw her for the lols and to get better at practicing drawing.

Outfit practice drawing. I initially only drew cheryl as an outfit study but then i scribbled a background over it. As long as you dont look too close the bg should look ok lul
2015 vs 2022. I've always gravitated towards group pics and giant hugs, so I feel this is the best representation of my progress. And the last is to show improvement with structural drawing.

I by no means consider myself to be an amazing or outstanding artist, but I've definitely grown and developed my own style over the course of drawing.

@BatmAndrewArt All I really do is put it at the corner most of the time, and make it barely visible so it doesn't obstruct the drawing. When I only draw a character, I sometimes put it closer to the middle :p
