Hmmm some good practice tips is understand like basic anatomy one I use a lot is this method for arms, I kinda just draw as I go without a reference which gives the character its own sense of being but do use ref to get the hang of basic perspective and flow of the body

Process for page 17, this one took a while. I redid the perspective for the Hellflower after the initial sketch, using a model of an SR-71 to help.
Anyways, if you want to know how I get these effects, the answer is loads of layers. I counted 60 visible layers for this page.
