Incredibly sad news to hear of the passing of Tim Sale. At this point it feels like a cliche to cite The Long Halloween as a favourite Batman story, but Tim Sale's work here was one of those character defining runs.
Tim Sale's art was perfect visual storytelling to convey Dick Grayson's loss and the parallels with Bruce in Dark Victory. He'll be missed.

Steph is completely justified in being happy & excited here because back when they were kids Tim wouldn't even tell Steph his real name & now here he is introducing Steph to his civilian boyfriend which really shows how much Tim has grown to trust & care about Steph
Tim Sale is such an influential comic book artist and it was incredibly sad to hear that he's passed on. From being one half of one of the greatest writer/artist duo in Comics and shaping so many characters. This loss hurts, but he can rest peacefully now. RIP Tim Sale 💔
