I know it’s a recent/problematic genus, but it’s interesting how most depictions of Dakotaraptor out have white-ish highlights mixed with darker colorations. In a lot of cases, it’s usually due them copying Saurian’s model.

When attacked, their wing cases pop open and flash bright colours on their abdomen! For anything still foolish enough to have a go at them, I can guarantee they taste terrible! This display is best seen in the huge females – the males are small and slender but just as colourful.
