@syckatic @AshBCoffin I think you're confusing style and detail. Serialized, 2D animation has never been big on the detail side of things. The 90's DID see an increase in what LOOKED like detail, since computers streamlined the coloring process, but the cartoons were as simple as they always had been.

Early on, many of the collab's artists & I realized, through looking at my rendition of this scene, how much more appealing Chris as a character felt. We had a big ol' super fun discussion about how much we would've like him if he kept up with Sonic in terms of snarkiness & wit.
