この「燃えよビーバレ！」回の絵コンテを担当した小村敏明さんは1961年生まれのモロに「巨人の星」「アタックNo.1」等のスポ根アニメ世代なので、その世代としての描写のリアル感と、プリキュア各SD仕事でも光ったバランス感覚を活かしたスポ根パロディ性とが上手くブレンドした演出が実に素晴らしい！
