Kenji is based off my real life friend. I've changed his hair to match what my friend has currently. The image with the reaper pin is based off what he had then (with exaggerations ofc).

More on the concept of a mermaid on land. I wanted to exaggerate the fish out of water aspect of it by having her wear human clothing wrong, like wearing a sock as a hat and a shirt as a skirt. Maybe she’ll start a fashion trend?

I haven’t watched a full episode of any of the recent stuff but I honestly hate how downhill the art went over the yrs :/ esp the white washing. It’s always had a unique exaggerated style but not like this. Nani was sooo cute early on what did they do to her 😭
