It would take an insane work to make this cuff perfect with this kind of pattern. So I instead made a curve deform in Maya and used zbrush's projection to project it onto the original cuff. Works~

OK SO, running and sprinting the tail looks FINE but for a lot of other motions/emote etc, its very stiff from the base to the 2nd cuff in the middle of the tail.
I really hope they tweak it a bit to give it a more fluid look.
Here it looks fine tho :3

That elegant cuff. I love that the artist had to confidence to just leave it alone. Not to overrender it. Because why would you? Why draw attention away from the skin to the cuff? It wouldn't make it a better illustration! Best to leave it simple!
