Since Colonial culture fought a war over a thousand years, and given the mythological background, I wanted Battlestars to be something with no parallel in human history. To that end, they are massive city-sized vehicles that put Star Destroyers to shame.

Yamakaze, Harusame, Samidare, and Suzukaze are the only Shiratsuyu-class Destroyers that don't have a kai-ni yet.
I really hope that they get them eventually :)
