Beira, Queen of Winter is, according to Gaelic folklore, the goddess of winter. Also known as the Cailleach/Veiled One, & depicted as an old blue hag . She is a wise old woman, acquiring her wisdom by observing the cycles of life & death.

In Scots Gaelic myth, faeries were regarded as either nature spirits or as spirits of the dead. They would exist in 'faerie mounds' awaiting reincarnation. There's a similar belief regarding elves in N. Europe.

They never really speak cause their first language is Scottish Gaelic! They understand English but sometimes has trouble with speaking it and doesn’t want to get embarrassed so they don’t talk often!! :D
