I first discovered Shirow in a 90s article in Wizard Magazine explaining manga. I remember religiously copying down the four or so images from Appleseed and GitS in that article, it completely blew my mind. There was just so much energy and humor mixed in with cyberpunk action.

GiTS, Appleseed, Bubblegum Crisis, Tank Police, Goku Midnighteye, Dominion Tank Police, and many more cyber punk anime got me into cyber punk. I'd love to recreate some of the characters in CP2077.

i've always found it crazy how serious the GiTS anime feels compared to the books

Motoko's personality feels more lighthearted as well, and her design is often more diverse

the rather dated CG and Shirow's style makes me unable to tell if it's a page out of GiTS or W Tails Cat
