Victoria Dubourg received early training from a woman painter, but honed her skills copying works in the Louvre’s galleries. It was there she met her future husband, Henri Fantin-Latour. Often overshadowed by his success, Dubourg’s exquisite floral studies testify to her talent.

La vierge aux rochers de Léonard de Vinci, dans sa première version, détenue par le musée du Louvre. Peinture résolument novatrice dans son traitement des ombres et des jeux de lumières, ainsi que pour les couleurs. Moins connue que la Joconde, mais tellement plus impressionnante

Le Louvre prête pour un an son Scribe accroupi au musée Louvre-Lens. En pierre calcaire peinte de couleurs vives, la sculpture représente un lettré ayant vécu il y a plus de 4500 ans, prêt à écrire sur un papyrus posé sur ses genoux qu'il déroule de la main gauche.
