Designed her a while ago, but now that I have more of a concept for her I finally made a ref so I can draw her more consistently in the future.

Her name is Juniper, she really loves plants. Also she’s some kind of shape-shifting eldritch caterpillar, but don’t mind that.

The which I've renamed the Pillar, because of the Chinese legend of Gong Gong, a deity/creature that destroyed the pillar holding up the sky, resulting in the tilted axis of the earth.

"From the pollen to the wind" tells the story of a small bored caterpillar, about to undergo a transformation, called metamorphosis. She admires the butterflies and never imagines that one day she will be one of them.

So many great guesses! This week’s answer is the belly of a caterpillar, and specifically a Fig Sphinx Moth (Pachylia ficus) caterpillar in . Check back Wednesday for my next challenge! https://t.co/gPidaKtOgx

The Girl with the Butterfly Mask - In this painting the center point of attraction is an exotic butterfly. This extraordinary insect was once a caterpillar, its presence in the painting serves as a testament to change and beautiful transformation.

A gentle insect quickly slashes away a stone pillar, no sign of movement beyond the glowing stones.

A crystal caterpillar, an excited colony of anemones, someone who didn't get to change out of their PJs before the apocalypse, a tentative onlooker, and ugh, check out the fancy boy who's parents bought him FIVE arm orbs. Five!

Continuing on my theme of cycles, I thought the Red Admiral was a great place to start! From eggs, to 5 stages of caterpillar, chrysalis then butterfly - these insects have always fascinated me!

My first animated commission! Done for who wanted to be caught by the latex pillar, bound and turned into a drone to serve the latex room. He's not turning into a wolfy, though. He's changing into a dragon drone!

“With all my knowledge and intrusion, I could never entirely predict you. I can feed the caterpillar, whisper through the chrysalis, but what hatches follows its own nature and is beyond me.”
