I think you can guess where my tastes lie, but I think h3 looks good in concept art for the sake of proportions, and HW has one of my favourites overall, the in game model that is. Legends (save the armor) also looks hella good.

actually helens feathers make me realize this style also has the same problem current disney has- going for cartoony proportions but still having the need to render every hair on someone's body. it just leaves it uncanny. yeesh

Heres some WIP - I tend to do a really loose quick sketch to figure out proportions and general flow, and then spend a long time refining the lines to find cool shapes and weight. Coloring tends to be easy after a quick value sketch
