If it's a commercial, it's likely something Nelvana has done. They have a HUGE variety of styles, but often times keep them simple and don't use a lot of shadows. They get cartoony and don't shy away from the hair details on a character. Look for humans with Three Fingers.

Karas came out in 2005 and it still looks good to me. Excellent blending of cg with clever use of shadows. Gorgeous aesthetic. And a snail kid.
