@poolbranch I tend to have a base color and then go from large hair chunks and work my way towards small strands

@poolbranch I split hair into big strands then fill it with flat colour and I add the darker shades to each strand so it leaves the ligher tone in the middle + it looks more shiny
then to make it look more 3D I add shadow under every strand ( i hope that it makes sense somehow )

I updated on his hair by adding more strands of hair and made the colors a bit bright. As for the eyes, it’s more of light blue silver color instead of periwinkle silver

Not much change tbh, I just change her outfit and add strands of hair to not make her look bald 🤣

Add again another layer on top and put the (highlight hair strands or something XD) choose the lighter color of your base layer color and you can now draw some strands. I used dip pen soft here ^^

Now onto her hair. Still need to add more strands, depth, and so on. So consider this the base? (Basically what the smudge + curve tool can do in Photoshop.)

I’ve always wanted this hairstyle so badly. I thought it was having short cropped hair but two thick strands of long hair that you kinda braid but apparently it’s just braids? 😅

Practiced drawing an IRyS Kirby but yet to have the artistic capability to draw full hair…have to leave you bald with just few strands of hair for now. Sorry :/
