Well, the real reason is pretty stupid:
My favorite monster is Lagiacrus. When I was creating an account in FA, that username was already taken... and Ivory wasn't.
After that, I started to like the monster more, its colors... etc.
@Leonard64487254 @Sangfowind @Vairocanaa mobius and castorice are both associated to death and rebirth! with the former even wanting to transcend via evolution. mobius has numerous abyssal motifs as well in her design. and finally when inverting castorice’s design you get mobius’s colors.

pop art style seems to have less emphasis on the nose + prefers stylized eyes. With the preference for flatter lighter color+shade+bloom filter, it doesn't help to make the impression of flatter "softer" art style
70s-80s anime had flat colors, but they still had detailed nose
always thought modern anime looked more shinier+flatter coz they use softer shading + palette.
old anime tends to have more darker shading (esp. in 90s OVA), and color choice tends to be more bolder
