Came back, immediately demolished a cake one of our members made.
The next morning, the leader was found wearing pink booty shorts. It was an excellent LANCER game
#HappyBirthday to architect #NapoleonLeBrun, b. this day in 1821. Cool name aside, he was also the designer of most of NYC’s great #firehouses of the 19th c, and a beautiful church (demolished) and school (we’re fighting to landmark) in our area: https://t.co/fanyrhXJ6n
#annelistercodebreaker #annelister ❤️ these old photos of St Matthew's Church, Lightcliffe (courtesy @FOSMchurchyard), where Anne and Ann worshipped, taken before it (bar the beautiful tower) was demolished in the 1970s. Happy holidays, all!
#Liverpool OTD - 1850 : The magnificent Liverpool Sailors Home opened in Canning Place - survived a major fire in 1860 and finally and sadly demolished in 1974
The end of an era - this was my view of the cooling towers being demolished at #Ironbridge today. I was standing three miles away on the summit of the #Wrekin, along with several hundred other spectators, and it was an amazing sight. #Shropshire

The first photo ever taken in Finland. It was taken in Turku on this day 1842 by medical doctor Henrik Cajander (1804-48). He was promoted as Master of Philosophy on the same day as National Poet J.L.Runeberg July-10 1827.
The building in the picture was demolished in the 1960's.
Have a good look at the stunning #Manchester Assize Courts. Damaged during the blitz in 1940 & 1941 then demolished in 1957. On the site now is part of the HMP Manchester car park & visitors centre.
@Jenmccarey @brucc170 There's no actual legal right of way there, its just a path/desire line that became formalised (i.e. tarmacd) over the years and didn't actually exist until the 18th c tenement at 151/153 was demolished in the 70s. The stretch of London Rd Glickmans is on is Lamb's Pass
A glorious afternoon yesterday in South London. Talk a walk through Sydenham Hill Wood and stood at the exact spot where Camille Pissarro painted Dulwich’s now demolished Lordship Lane Station, in 1871 (the painting is in the @CourtauldGall in London). Digital sketch: IPad.
More beautiful shots from the house - a stunning place! I can’t believe it nearly got demolished and so grateful for the successful campaign that saved it! More about it here: https://t.co/r8e9ZaYZMG @PPMBT
3/6 'First Signs of Autumn' 'It wouldn't be Autumn of course without nature's best bounty, ripe fruit. Berry season is well underway, blackberry crumble' s demolished in minutes. Sloes ripe for picking and adding to gin.' #autumnwatch #autumn #naturejournal #blackberry
In 1823 the #Cottingley Toll Bar was moved from the bridge to the #Keighley & #Bradford Turnpike at Cottingley Bar, where it was attacked by a mob angry about the charges. Tolls ended in 1858 & the Bar House was demolished in 1913. What a #Shame
@Cailean_Mac There was one tenement on the north side of the street, demolished in the 1920s iirc. The non-tenements on the south side of the street may well have been residential in 1851 though!
