Obvi the sameness can be demotivating to some, but the reason they do posters like these? They work! People WANT to see their favorites big & bright & focused on. Just bc it’s not an aesthetic doesn’t mean it’s not creative/easier. It’s not fear of trying, it’s knowing what sells

The guy who drawn the art of a giant holding band members from Queen's album also didn't know their music, he did the art work first. He said that it would demotivate him if he didn't like the music, so he didn't risk that. He only checked out the band afterwards and he liked it.
