Still working on this Anglerfish mermaid for 💙
Decided to give her some pectoral and pelvic fins, and rework the shape of her caudal fins. (The ones at the far back)

I love both versions. The one from 1997 it's a mixture between a mantaray and a bird. The second version it's a mantaray but with two remoraids in its fins. The second, also, mixes the concepts of remora fishes fixed in a mantagray and a bomber aircraft.

8. INGRID - BLUEBERRY
i don’t like her nor do i understand her. there’s potential here—so much— but the execution was clumsy at best. this is a flavour that should’ve been saved for muffins. i respect her fans for doing the best with what they got. should’ve been a lesbian

Be careful of women of the water sporting fins.... because its Mermay!

Process vid below!

I didn't think I was going to be participating this year but I forgot creepy mermaids exist and I love drawing women who are mildly to moderately threatening 🔪

Here’s my fishy recreation of The Dance by Matisse. Loosely based on the Onaga (Etelis coruscans) and the long slender points on their caudal fins.

In Andersen's 'The Snow Queen', Gerda meets beautiful talking flowers. The hyacinths tell the story of 3 girls disappeared in the wood and then found dead in 3 coffins. 'The fragrance of the flowers says they are dead, and the evening bell tolls for their funeral.'

More demonic Serya, I was thinking In giving her bigger and more pointed fins with her eyes being completely Turquoise. She also doesn’t have normally those ear fins. By the way that is no fire only special light she can make

First personal piece of 2020! This bad boy is my Merlion, a creature from Singaporean mythology! It was super fun shading it and getting all the red details in the mane of fins.

This also debuts my watermark for 2020!
